Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, based at our Newport Site, the successful candidate will have a varied yet rewarding job role, which will see them develop across the operational side of a very well respected and established business, which spans 3 sites across South Wales. As part of the business succession planning, this job role would require the successful candidate to be trained across a number of job roles and would be perfect for a college leaver who is keen to learn, develop and challenge themselves in a busy environment.
Compliance - To provide support to the compliance department in all areas of compliance including but not limited to; research, writing, and editing of compliance-related documents; development and maintenance of compliance-related databases and files; and special projects as needed. Whilst undertaking these tasks you will report the findings to the compliance manager.
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
Conduct regular procedural checks.
Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations and legislation.
Assist with risk assessments, audit reviews, monitoring and managing compliance within the organisation whether based in the support office or travelling to sites.
Be part of any investigation in potential compliance violations and appropriate corrective action under directive of senior manager.
Maintain compliance records and documentation.
Serve as a resource to other departments on compliance-related matters.
Perform periodic audits of compliance-related processes and procedures.
Identify areas for improvement in compliance-related systems and processes.
Meet personal targets and targets of the team when required.
Weighbridge - To greet customers and drivers and accurately record vehicle weight data and issue or receive appropriate paperwork as vehicles deliver or remove materials to and from site.
Responsible for correctly recording all incoming and outgoing vehicles on the weighbridge system and their overall compliance with site and safety regulations.
Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing vehicle movements via the weighbridge system.
Ensure that all drivers are always conversant and compliant with site and safety regulations.
Production of routine reports in relation to the Depot operations and material inputs and outputs
Ensure that general housekeeping standards are always maintained to the highest level.
Report all accidents and incidents in accordance with company rules, undertaking specific investigations as appropriate.
Quality Assistance- To monitor Working stock quality, conduct audits, log samples and results, support production and analyse product in laboratory as required.
An example of some of the duties required will be to:
Collect samples and conduct tests / analysis to agreed sampling plan and methods.
Conduct a complete QA/QC check online for each production run while on shift
Place raw materials / finished product etc. in quarantine as required.
Ensure all documentation is completed to standard.
Work with technical and production teams to assist in problem solving and implementation of corrective actions.
Complete internal audits
